Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has said that the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded Edo State governorship election was a show of the confidence Nigerians have in President Bola Tinubu.
He made this known while addressing newsmen on Sunday after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Monday Okpebholo of the APC winner of the election conducted on Saturday, September 21.
Akpabio, who praised the outcome of the election, said although the competition was terse, the outcome was heartwarming.
“I strongly believe that the election in Edo, though tense at the beginning, is a reflection of the confidence that Nigerians continue to express in President Tinubu.”
He commented the Edo voters for their choice of APC candidate, stressing that Edo would be better governed with Monday Okpebholo as the governor of the state.
